Sobukai Basingstoke

(Comprehensive Martial organisation in Basingstoke)
This Martial Arts club was created by Nicolas LEFEBVRE in 2014 to promote the Takeda Ryu Nakamura Ha (the Nakamura style of the Takeda school) in Basingstoke.
Nicolas has been practicing this Japanese Martial Arts for more than 20 years. Nicolas has made several trips to Japan in order to perfect his skills.
We are a member of the Nihon Sobudo Rengokai (Japanese association).
We follow the teaching method created by Soke Hisashi Nakamura (the founder of the Nakamura style).
The Martial Arts of the Takeda school can help to develop moral, personal and social values, such as Respect and Courtesy. which are useful in our daily modern life.

Being able to protect yourself in case of aggression.
Being able to take the right decision at the right time.
Being able to overcome your limits.

Takeda Martial Arts can assist  the development of:
  • A sense of awareness.
  • A physical strength.
  • A strong will.
  • A positive vision of life.

The courses are held every Thursday at the QM Sports Center in Basingstoke.

Takeda Ryu Nakamura Ha

We practice the Takeda Ryu Nakamura Ha (the Nakamura style of the Takeda school).
It is the Japanese Martial Art of the Samurai.
Takeda Budo (Martial Arts) is a 'Sobudo' (comprehensive Martial Arts).
It is composed of different disciplines, the main disciplines are:
  • without weapon:
    • Aikido (the art of gathering and combining forces)
    • Jukenpo (literally ‘soft fist system’)
  • with weapon:
    • Iaido (the way of the sword)
    • Jodo (the way of the stick)
    • Kendo (swordsmanship)
