Takeda Budo

Jukenpo (柔拳法)

Flexibility, speed and total control of the body are the characteristics of this amazing Martial Art, without the use of weapons but not disarmed: this art make use of arms and legs like real weapons.

The JUKENPO is one of the disciplines of unarmed TAKEDA school that combines the old TAKEDA RYU JUJITSU (including, for example locks and projections) with elements of traditional Chinese KEMPO (fighting with fists), which also includes kicks.

Originally, it took the form of KUMIUCHI horseback fighting. Later, when riding disappeared, the JUKENPO evolved and became a martial art on the ground. This is SOKE NAKAMURA who created the TAKEDA RYU current JUKENPO.
